Exosomes are nano-sized small extracellular vesicles secreted by most type of cells and have an important role in cell to cell communication.They contain a natural cargo including various protein and nucleic acid molecules originated from their donor cells.

Recently, exosomes have emerged as a biocompatible Drug Delivery System (DDS) compared to synthetic nanoparticles. Therefore, exosomes are considered to be a new class of natural DDS nanocarrier with great potential for clinical application.
